Creative Arts meets Fashion Design
Emily Wilson
Fashion & Costume Design Influences
Emily’s lifelong interest in creative arts led her to pursue a Fashion and Costume Design degree.
Emily’s design aesthetic merges dichotomies of ‘darkness versus light’ and ‘masculinity versus femininity’. Unusual textures and fabrication are partnered with geometric forms to create an aesthetic that is dark with a retrofuturistic influence. Emily has participated in two VAMFF runways as a designer, and has conducted wearable technology workshops with school students. Emily is very interested in sustainability, wearable technology and developing gender-inclusive clothing.
In the spirit of reconciliation LCI Melbourne acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
LCI Melbourne pay respects to the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people and acknowledges them as the Traditional Owners of the land on which our campus is situated. We recognise this as a place of special significance for the Indigenous community.
