Creative Arts meets Fashion Design
Emily Wilson
Fashion & Costume Design Influences
Emily’s lifelong interest in creative arts led her to pursue a Fashion and Costume Design degree. Emily’s design aesthetic merges dichotomies of ‘darkness versus light’ and ‘masculinity versus femininity’. Unusual textures and fabrication are partnered with geometric forms to create an aesthetic that is dark with a retrofuturistic influence. Emily has participated in two VAMFF runways as a designer, and has conducted wearable technology workshops with school students. Emily is very interested in sustainability, wearable technology and developing gender-inclusive clothing.
