Selection Criteria

Entry Requirements

The entry requirements for international applicants are:

  • Satisfactory completion of Australian Year 12 or equivalent.
  • Creative Portfolio Presentation involving a 30 minute discussion on your creative practice and your creative ideas in sketchbook and portfolio format.
  • Proof of English Proficiency (IELTS overall score of 6.0, writing at 6.0 with no skills band lower than 5.5 or equivalent like TOEFL, Pearson Test of English or CAE)

In the Australian higher education sector, an ‘international' or 'overseas' student is a person who:

  • is not an Australian citizen; and
  • is enrolled, or will enrol, in a course of study with a higher education provider; and
  • is aged 18 and over.
An 'international' or 'overseas' student does not include:
  • a New Zealand citizen; or
  • a person entitled to stay in Australia, or to enter and stay in Australian without any limitation as to time; or
  • a diplomatic or consular representative of New Zealand, a member of the staff of such a representative or the spouse or dependent relative of such a representative.

Direct Applications

You can apply at any time, for our February, June or September intakes.

  1. Complete our online application form. You do not need to submit your portfolio with your application. We will review this during your Creative Presentation.
     
    Two valid forms of identification will be required, one from each list below.

    • Driver’s Licence
    • Passport
    • Student ID
    • Proof of Age
    • Passport
    • Birth Certificate
    • Permanent Resident Visa
    • Permanent Humanitarian Visa
    • Temporary Entry Permit
    • Other equivalent documentation

     

  2. An Admissions Advisor will contact you following submission of your application to organise your Creative Portfolio Presentation.
  3. Creative Portfolio Presentation. If you are unable to attend in person, virtual presentations are available.

Applying Through An Agent

LCI Melbourne has a network of registered representatives around the world to assist you with program and application queries. These representatives are knowledgeable about the Australian education system, LCI Melbourne and its application process. They will assist you with your program queries, application and your student visa.

If you choose to apply through an agent, the application process is the same as directly applying but your agent will complete this on your behalf.
