With a combined five
Virgin Australia Fashion Festival (VAMFF) runways, Melissa and Emily are no strangers to the fashion world. Rebecca, meanwhile, sees her designs worn by women across Australia.
Melissa Bardwell, Emily Wilson and Rebecca Headlam and are three very different yet equally inspiring women. Masters in their fields, these LCI Melbourne fashion and costume design alumni are making waves in the fashion industry, both locally and globally.
Melissa’s notable ‘Odditorium’ collection, which highlighted her passion for architecture and sustainable living, gained much attention in the VAMFF cultural programme runway, turning the heads of many industry leaders.
Similarly, Emily has a keen interest in sustainability, wearable technology, and gender inclusive fashion.
Since graduating, Rebecca Headlam has become a design assistant at Country Road and finds her week is full of variety to keep her on her toes. She tells us that: “the thrill of having a product that I have worked on come into a store for an international brand is irreplaceable”.
LCI Melbourne’s industry connections give their students the confidence and experience to create next, now.
