LCI Melbourne is committed to the principle of community engagement and support. Our ‘community’ includes:
- prospective students, current students, staff and alumni
- families and friends of those studying or working at LCI Melbourne
- others interested in, or connected with, design and education – locally, nationally and internationally
- society and culture at its broadest, as the ultimate beneficiary of good design, high quality education, innovation and scholarship.
Prior to the commencement of any study period a new student orientation program is conducted by LCI Melbourne to provide students with a smooth transition into higher education and campus life.
In the spirit of reconciliation LCI Melbourne acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
LCI Melbourne pay respects to the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people and acknowledges them as the Traditional Owners of the land on which our campus is situated. We recognise this as a place of special significance for the Indigenous community.
We pay our respect to Elders past and present and future. Indigenous sovereignty has never been ceded.
