The Academy of Design Australia has announced it will switch to an academic calendar based on trimesters in 2018.
From February 2018, an academic year – which runs from January to December in Australia – will be divided into three twelve-week study periods.
The Bachelor of Design Arts can now be undertaken in three years full-time or two years at an accelerated pace.
The Academy’s international LCI Education partner campuses already run on a trimester system. The change will allow Australian-based students to take full advantage of LCI’s global connectedness and seamlessly join a trimester abroad.
Trimester 1 will start on 19 Feburary 2018; Trimester 2 on 4 June 2018; and Trimester 3 on 17 September 2018.
