In 2018, the Academy of Design Australia will move to the iconic Foy & Gibson building located at 150 Oxford Street, Collingwood. The new campus will position Academy students in the heart of the most vibrant arts and design precinct in Melbourne.
Foy and Gibson was Melbourne’s earliest department store chain, designing and producing a range of clothing, millinery and furniture in their magnificent 19th and early 20th century complex of factories, warehouses and showrooms.
Today, behind the heritage-listed façade, Gray Puksand Architects have designed a spacious campus with a light-filled atrium, range of modern learning spaces, and contemporary art gallery.
Students, staff, alumni and guest artists and designers will have an unrivalled opportunity to showcase their work to the local creative community, including top art galleries, fashion houses, entrepreneurial start-ups and architectural interior design businesses.

LCI Melbourne pay respects to the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people and acknowledges them as the Traditional Owners of the land on which our campus is situated. We recognise this as a place of special significance for the Indigenous community.
We pay our respect to Elders past and present and future. Indigenous sovereignty has never been ceded.
