Resin Jewellery

In this short course, Kate Rohde will share her vast experience for creating silicone moulds to cast resin for sculpture and jewellery. Students will learn the essential skills for designing their own jewellery and for of making one and two part moulds to cast their own designs. Students will learn to use easy to handle, fast setting materials for a quick and colourful result and learn the tools and techniques to refine their final pieces. All materials will be provided and you will take home your own completed work at the end of the course!

Meet Your Teacher | Kate Rohde

Kate Rohde is a celebrated Australian artist known for her jewellery and sculptural practice, nowadays working predominately with resin and hand casting techniques. Her work has been showcased in exhibitions across Australia and internationally including Magic Object at the Art Gallery of South Australia, 21st Century Heide at Heide Museum of Modern Art, and in 2015 she was a finalist in the Rigg Design Prize at the National Gallery of Victoria.

Other projects include collaborating with Sydney fashion house Romance was Born and she has an ongoing relationship with Melbourne fashion designer Alexi Freeman. Her work is held in the collections of several institutions including the National Gallery of Victoria and the Art Gallery of South Australia.
