This unit will challenge and reference cultural and sub-cultural shifts. Understanding cultural movements impacting art and design from Belle Epoch to Punk and beyond.
During this unit you will analyse and respond to social, cultural and technological changes in modern design from the Industrial revolution to post modernism. To support the development of your personal creative practice you will be required to consider in depth the contextual positioning of your design ethos. This will require investigating, challenging and responding to issues that affect creative industries and the development of a personal viewpoint.
