This unit will undertake an entrepreneurial project that engages with the creative industries. You will critically analyse business models, supply systems and production methods and develop ideas and opportunities to support design business growth.

You will critically investigate topics including the development and growth of business in the creative industries (specific to their discipline) by developing your own business plan. You will explore responsibility and ethics in the local and international supply chain; managing across cultures; the increasing impact of e-commerce; developing sales and marketing strategies and retail options. You will draw on this knowledge to develop strategies for growth opportunities and global success for a proposed concept within the area of creative industries entrepreneurship based on starting your own business or working within an organisation.
You will develop a business case for a concept related to your own practice, enhanced by investigating ‘real life’ creative businesses. You will use local and/or international case studies to explore real issues faced in the creative industries.
