Analysing Visual Culture

Students will develop an understanding of how macro trends are forecast. They will research, debate and develop concepts reflecting their insights into forecasting social and cultural impacts and how these influence buying decisions, macro design trends and global consumer shifts. They will develop a trend manifesto and creative kit related to a topic of interest. Students will incorporate strategic decision making in recognising the patterns, cycles and dissemination of information. Their investigation will determine a framework to specifically apply creative and analytical skills in the trend forecasting process.
