A MESSAGE FROM OUR DEAN & PRINCIPAL
Dear LCI Melbourne students,
Your safety and wellbeing are our immediate concern. We appreciate that we are in unprecedented times and that many of you have expressed concerns about working in close proximity and accessing transport to attend LCI.
To support you in this complex time, we have made the decision to close the campus to all students from March 23, 2020.
Next week (from March 23 to 27) there will be no formal classes as staff prepare for fulltime online delivery. This gives all of you time to settle and catch-up. Staff are available through Mio if you need to discuss your work and gain any feedback.
From March 30 all classes will be delivered as per our normal schedules through online connections. Your mentors and the academic team are available to explain how this will work in each of your individual classes.
We will continue to deliver in online mode until it is deemed safe to return to normal studies on campus.
New assessment dates will be advised by academic staff.
The trimester will be extended by one week to cover for the missed classes next week.
Our staff are here to support you and please contact us if you need any support.
Dean and Principal
LCI Melbourne puts the health and safety of our students, staff and wider community as its highest priority. LCIM is closely monitoring and responding to advice relating to the current COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak. We will continue to adjust operations in accordance with emerging information and professional advice from State and Federal Departments of Health.
We partnered up with Year13 to run a creative folio competition and received a large amount of outrageously creative entries. To reward the hard work submitted, we decided to hold an award ceremony celebrating the amazing folios of our top candidates!
