Jemma Cakebread
Jemma Cakebread is a graduate to watch!
Jemma uses various mediums to explore obsession with skin, light and the complexity of colour. She has exhibited in group shows Materiality, Louis Joel Gallery (2016) and SmallWorks, Brunswick Street Gallery (2016), where she on the Melbourne Studio of Art Prize. She completed a residency and had her first solo exhibition, Thread, Courthouse Gallery (2016). In addition to her art practice she interns at Brunswick Street Gallery and co-organised the Melbourne City Mission Charity Art Auction (2016).
In the spirit of reconciliation LCI Melbourne acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
LCI Melbourne pay respects to the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people and acknowledges them as the Traditional Owners of the land on which our campus is situated. We recognise this as a place of special significance for the Indigenous community.
We pay our respect to Elders past and present and future. Indigenous sovereignty has never been ceded.
