The six-month collaboration between LCI Melbourne and Artisans of Fashion will launch with a fashion runway held in our beautiful warehouse event space. The theme ‘Chrysalis’ will be explored through critical approaches to design, construction and ethical consideration.
The runway will showcase designs from LCI students, and Artisans of Fashion designers such as Romance was Born, KITX, We are Kindred, Brothers Earth, Roopa, and Cassandra Harper.
Every design has a strong focus on sustainability with fabrics ethically sourced from handloom weavers in India; forest silk weavers in Assam, Ikat cotton weavers from Telangana and silk brocades from Varanasi.
Tickets are limited, you can purchase them here.
