Fashion Illustration

Fashion illustration plays a key role in the design process to help visualize ideas before constructing garments. Illustrators produce work for fashion brands, magazines, exhibitions and advertising campaigns as well as the ever-increasing demand from blogs and social media. In our short course you will learn key skills from a professional illustrator to visualise your own ideas through the medium of fashion illustration. Study different methods of illustration within both manual and digital media techniques to create your own collection of vibrant illustrated designs.

Meet Your Teacher | Angie Réhe

Angie Réhe is a Melbourne-based fashion illustrator and educator whose work celebrates her love of both art and fashion. Her fresh, chic and timeless work has been sought by clients including Vogue, Elle, Harpers Bazaar, L’Officiel and Jimmy Choo, amongst others. With extensive experience as a fashion designer, freelancer and writer, Angie is a confident communicator and has taught fashion illustration in galleries and tertiary institututions throughout Australia.


Required Materials

  • 1 x A3 Bank paper pad
  • 1 x A3 Bleedproof pad
  • 1 x A3 “COMO” sketch pad
  • HB, 2B pencil
  • Set of coloured pencils (not watersoluble)
  • 1 x white Chinagraph pencil
  • Eraser
  • Sharpener
  • COPIC markers: “0” colourless blender, skin colour, Any grey tone in 3 levels: 2,4, 6.
  • Black fineliner (waterproof), Black “sharpie” marker
  • Watercolours: A cheap set of tubes will be fine, or” Koh-I-Noor Water Colour Disc Assorted set 24”
  • Watercolour brushes: Round brush tip style, synthetic or blend is fine, sizes 4, 8, 12.
