The Academy of Design Australia has launched 2018 with a new name and look, in a change that will see the Melbourne-based institute move closer to its 21 partner campuses around the world. The Academy will now be known as LCI Melbourne.
The Academy of Design Australia has been a member of the LCI Education Network, which has 22 campuses focused on design education around the world, since 2015.
A brand campaign with a distinctly Melbourne feel launches this week, and will saturate the city to announce LCI's arrival. The campaign features staff and students, shot by an emerging young Melbourne photographer, with a striking yellow as the institute's new brand colour.
The new LCI Melbourne tagline is 'Design Your World', to represent the way the Bachelor of Design Arts and new campus immerse students in the design world; and the power of the institute to connect students to global trends, industries, experts and experiences as part of the LCI Education Network.
LCI Melbourne worked with local Collingwood design agency, Ellis Jones, to develop the new brand and campaign.
With construction work now complete, LCI Melbourne officially moves into its new building on Monday 22 January.
The impressively remodelled building features state-of-the-art facilities such as a public art gallery, editing suites, and industry-standard studios. The area is a creative hub with a range of art galleries, fashion houses and design studios, which provide many local professional placement opportunities for students.
