Spotlight on our tutor

Brigit Heller
Program: Visual Arts

Academy Visual Arts tutor, Brigit Heller first came to Australia as an international student and stayed on! Originally from Switzerland, he have now been living in Australia for 16 years. Brigit’s award-winning sculptural work uses nature as inspiration and has featured in many notable exhibitions.

Recently Brigit was shortlisted for the Yering Station Sculpture Competition and Award 2016, which was on display until late 2016. This sculpture competition displayed a broad array of contemporary Australian sculptural practice from both established and emerging artists. Following this, Brigit was also been shortlisted to do a two week residency in November for the Toolangi Sculpture Trail. In mid-October Brigit was also showing works during the Montsalvat Arts Festival.
