In honour of Kvadrat’s fruitful 13-year collaboration with Italian designer Giulio Ridolfo, Kvadrat invites invites designers to create unique works using Ridolfo’s distinctive Canvas upholstery textile. The brief was left open to interpretation and the results were first unveiled at the exhibition My Canvas, shown at Somerset House during London Design Festival 2017 before embarking a global tour that will start at Melbourne Design Week 2018.

Aligning with Melbourne Design Festivals theme of Design Effects, this exhibition celebrates how unrestrained creativity can inspire the designers to push the boundaries between materiality and production techniques, and in doing so, rethink our use of textiles.
