Unit Fees & Census Dates

Unit tuition fees for 2018 are available here!

NB: Application process for International students is available here.

  • Fees are billed per trimester (based on the number of units undertaken in that trimester)
  • Please note that tuition fees may increase in subsequent study periods.
  • Before enrolling, applicants should read LCI Melbourne's Policy on Tuition Fee Refunds in the Assurances section of this website.
  • Part-time students pay pro-rata fees. Please consult the schedule of unit fees and census dates below for the units currently on offer.
  • Centrelink payments: For Centrelink purposes, to be classified as a full-time student you are required to enrol in a minimum of three units per trimester. Anything less than three units per trimester is deemed by Centrelink as part-time.

The studios at LCI Melbourne provide materials for students to study using a range of communication design, fashion & costume design, filmmaking & photography, graphic & digital design, and visual arts media. The computer labs are equipped with industry-standard computing equipment and software.

LCI Melbourne has strict rules in respect to the proper use of its resources and equipment, and students are required to sign agreements to that effect.

Students provide their own personal material requirements such as colour markers, folios and USB flash sticks. Students must also pay for printing and photocopying of their own work. Students should budget on paying $300 to $500 per year for studio materials and production costs.

Students are given a list of Prescribed Texts at the start of each trimester. These are essential. (Each unit also has a Recommended Reading list, though it is not necessary to purchase these titles.) Students should budget on paying $120 per trimester for textbooks.

Lockers are available for hire to store personal materials.
