The studios at LCI Melbourne provide materials for students to study using a range of communication design, fashion & costume design, filmmaking & photography, interior design, graphic & digital design, and visual arts media. The computer labs are equipped with industry-standard computing equipment and software. LCI Melbourne has strict rules in respect to the proper use of its resources and equipment, and students are required to sign agreements to that effect. Students provide their own personal material requirements such as colour markers, folios and USB flash sticks. Students must also pay for printing and photocopying of their own work. You should budget on paying $300 to $500 AUD per year (3 year full-time degree) for studio materials and production costs. Students are given a list of Prescribed Texts at the start of each trimester. These are essential. (Each unit also has a Recommended Reading list, though it is not necessary to purchase these titles.) You should budget on paying $120 AUD per trimester for textbooks.
